    1. It’s slowly filtering out in the stores…Barnes and Noble has it in Mankato–that was fun to see it there! It will be on stands a couple of months? or until sold out!!!! 🙂 Thank you so much!!

    Cheers, Kelley

  2. Beautiful cover! I’m getting my copy today, fun to curl up with a cup of coffee and read tonight. Waited forever! So happy for you.

  3. I rarely buy magazines but I’ll have to make an exception for this one! I’ve been looking at the cover and believe you ha e photographed your property better than they have. I knew your property was being featured but not that you would be on the cover. Congratulations

    1. Ahhh, Lois your so sweet! I found out a month ago maybe, that it would be the cover! Oh, the anticipation of waiting to find it on the stands….it was killing me!!!
Hope you enjoy the magazine, let me know what you think.

      1. I do know it’s slowly making it’s way out to the magazine racks! Reports are coming in from relatives of who has found it and who has not! Keep me posted! Thanks for all your kindness and support…Hugs, Stacey

    1. It was and is a labor of love….I weeded, watered and tended 8 to 12 hours a day leading up to the visit from Country Gardens.
They spent 2 days with us, and it was the coolest thing I’ve ever gotten to do!!!

  4. How exciting! I used to subscribe to this magazine (and many others) but simpled down to just a couple. I miss it and I’m going to buy this copy so I can read more about you and your beautiful garden!

  5. Wow! I will get a copy! Congrats Stacey, lovely, what an accomplishment… and your property is very magazine cover worthy 😉

    1. Cindy,
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit the blog and comment.
I’m so glad you enjoyed the look into my little garden.
It was a thrill of a lifetime for Country Gardens to feel it was worthy for the pages of their magazine.
I look forward to visiting your blog…Happy 2014 to you also.

  8. Oh my goodness! I don’t subscribe, but I purchase this magazine very often! I can’t wait to go and get a copy! Congratulations for being chosen. That is really quite wonderful, Stacey! What a great way to start the new year. 🙂

    1. Thank you so much…I was literally stalking the magazine racks in different locations starting around Christmas….friends were reporting in from different locations also on the hunt! Hope you enjoy it!
Can I come visit? -26 degrees this morning!!!

    1. Thank you so much for your always kind comments! And the Ping back…how sweet! This blog has truly been a wonderful addition to my life. Gardeners around the world stopping by….pinch me.
      Hugs garden friend,

  9. Whoop, Whoop! That’s just wonderful and a huge honour. You must be practically floating around. Really, really exciting. Now all your hard work and dedication is on display for all to admire. It’s really an amazing achievement. I can’t wait to buy it! It’s not on our news stand just yet but I will absolutely watch for it. Your garden looks so lush and layered on the cover and the perennials are all standing healthy on sturdy legs. I like how the brick path disappears into the perennials too, it’s how I truly imagine a country garden in my mind. Geez, I feel like I know a celebrity!

    1. Your the best garden friend!!! Hard to believe it truly did make it to the magazine, let alone the cover of my favorite garden magazine.
Just little ole me in my little country garden.
Kate Carter Frederick did such an amazing job showing the details of my garden, and her writing skills are so heart felt. It was a journey that started quite some time ago with a phone call from Editor James Baggett. How much that one call brought me and has led too. Well, just pinch me!
Email me if you can’t find a copy!

      1. Bask in the glow Stacey, it’s well deserved 😀 I looked again today at Chapters (like a Borders Books) but not here yet. We’re going to Maui shortly and I’m sure I’ll see it either at the airport or at Borders, I can’t wait xK

  10. Received my magazine in the mail today……..perfect garden for the magazine to feature for spring…..like I needed any more encouragement! 🙂 Just beautiful! Congratulations!

  11. Loved your garden featured in Country Gardens magazine! I too am a gardener and can totally relate to the joy that it brings. Your garden and buildings are fantastic…thanks for the inspiration!

  12. I came to your blog because of the beautiful photos in Country Gardens! I absolutely love your gardens and enjoyed reading about the transformation. You’ve truly inspired me- thank you. I’ve become obsessed with the beautiful paint on the picket fence in the cover photo. Can share what it is???? Please please please? 🙂 I’m going to bookmark this blog so I can enjoy it while I wait for this dreary Michigan winter to pass.

    1. Good Morning James!
Thank you taking the time to visit the garden and your very kind comments.
Such a joy to share the garden, greenhouse, and our little Rabbit Run Cottage with so many people.
To know it has inspired people, well, that’s just the best!!
I would love to tell you the paint color–but, it’s not really that color! That green is photoshopped in by Country Gardens! If you have peeked at the blog you will see my fence is really a stone grey color.
      The magic of editing!
But please know, everything else is the real thing and very true to my garden.
I hope you visit here often, it sure does make Winter a bit more tolerable to visit with gardeners in our off time.
Thankfully it has warmed a bit! Snow on it’s way again this week.
      Stacey

  13. Stacey – I finally bought a copy of the magazine, read your article and absolutely loved it! I was so excited and proud of you- does that sound silly? It wasn’t my success personally but I guess we bloggers form a bond and therefore I was so happy for you! You have the prettiest of gardens and your arrangement of vintage finds adds so much charm. I am sure this article will add to your list of followers! cheers

    1. Eliza, Thank you so much–your so sweet!!! I’m so glad you enjoyed the article…I still can hardly believe my little garden ended up on the front of Country Gardens….. Pinch me–still!
The blog has been such a blessing and way to connect with gardeners and garden lovers from around the world or just down the road. Hugs garden friend–thank you again for “getting it”! Stacey
