Summer returned for a day
September morning fog
Out the front door this morning
the fog is lifting with the sun rising.
Looking forward to a beautiful, productive day.
Today in the garden….
This weekend is the garden and greenhouse clean up.
It has been a great first year with the greenhouse.
I loved every minute of the work, and the rewards.
Autumn is my favorite
Autumn is my favorite time of year.
We are surrounded by farm fields.
I love when the fields began to dry and are nearing harvest time.
The countryside colors change and and are full of beautiful textures and tones.
Rustic, earth colors take over the lush greens of Summer.

Last week I snapped a few pictures of the backyard on a sunny, clear morning.
I love all the textures of the Pines that anchor the back of our property.
I have been gathering pinecones from these very trees for my holiday decorating.
The Fowl Corner
Thought I would share another corner of my garden…
My chicken coop.
A pair of Mallards and a few Pekins were added this Spring.
We don’t know when the Mallards will leave us–
It has been so interesting to raise them and watch the change from ducklings
to the beautiful ducks they are.
