No summer would be complete without some Zinnia’s in the garden or on my table.
Though my house is under construction, I’m still bringing in flowers for the table.
I’m in love with the morning light in my new dining room.
life in and around the garden
In one week we will gather lots of family and friends for a wedding.
Every minute of each day is filled with preparations.
Some of the very flowers growing here around the garden will be used at the event.
I can’t wait to share it with all of my garden friends here on Down To Earth Digs.
You may find sneak peeks on my Instagram @Downtoearthdigs
This little baby bird was wandering the yard yesterday.
His little wing is injured and I couldn’t leave him to suffer.
His first night was in the greenhouse but it became quite warm today.
I moved him to the potting shed and gave him his own little nest from my collection.
A trip to the store for some mealy worms to feed him, I’m now squeezing in mama bird duties to my day.
Otto is so curious!
Just what the garden has been waiting for!
The flowers were just waiting for the warm up to show their flowers.
It’s going to be a colorful week here in the little garden.
Nasturtium is one of my favorite flowers.
The entire plant is edible! Add them to your fresh salad for a little peppery zip.
Now I just need some tasty heirloom tomatoes….come on garden!
