I’m still waiting for mine to poke their little green noses up…Second year, so no harvest for us yet.
I am having my first year of harvest now,too. They came up last year when we were on holiday but I was not expecting much anyway. I bought plants that were touted as being already three years old and I have been covering them up.
Oh well, Sarah Raven says the older they are the better and her mother has had her asparagus bed for decades. It is a case of patience.
