Objects of my affection

The copper rain barrel was my favorite addition to the garden this year.

Now, if only we could get a little rain to fill it.

    1. No time for antiquing here either! My friend went to some great shops in Minneapolis on Sunday–so jealous of her finds. 18 days till the magazine people are here–the perennials are suffering. The greenhouse and Rabbit Run Cottage are what they are really here for though–so the flowers are just background. All the same the Summer of record heat and near drought is frustrating me. Thank you for your always kind words…Stacey

  1. Do you want some of our rain? There’s plenty of it! Apparently the jet stream which is giving us all this rain is responsible for your drought. It is stuck much lower down than normal and doesn’t look like it’s moving!! Great looking barrel.

    1. It certainly is a weird weather year! Northern MN just had terrible flooding and the Southern half is dry as a bone!
I’m watching the farmers corn fields dry up before my very eyes. Hope you get some sun!
And thank you for visiting and following my little blog. 🙂 Stacey

  2. That is amazing. Looks homemade. I want one but can’t find something pretty; don’t want plastic. Did see an oak barrel that was good, but this inspires me. 🙂
