A new heirloom tomato for me this year.
Costoluto Genovese
This is a beautiful tomato that I will grow again!
An Italian, heat loving tomato.
Beautiful sliced, meaty and slightly tart.
Cooked it makes a rich sauce.
Today it will be made into a batch of salsa, as per the boys request!
These look more like flowers than tomatoes.
It is very pretty–but made some awesome salsa and tonight BLT’s.
Beautiful! They look sooo tasty.
🙂 Pretty and tasty–a good garden combo!
I have never seen a tomato that looked like that. I think I will need to plant a couple of these next year.
Probably doing the best in the garden with the heat right now!
They look and “sound” good. They look like they would be hard to peel.
Ran them thru the food processor just chopped roughly, then a quick spin in the sieve. Removes all the seeds and skin!
Ah, great idea!
Beautiful! I got pics up this morning of my new tomatoes, too 🙂
Popped over to check them out–left you a little thought! 🙂
I like the shape of that tomato…if it makes great sauce and handles heat, I need to check this one out. It is a ruffled tomato!:-)
Made a perfect, pretty slice! Having BLT’s tonight!
