I always start my paperwhites the week of Thanksgiving.
It’s so nice to have something growing and blossoming indoors this time of year.

These are beautiful!
Thank you, they sure are a pretty little flower! Do you grow them?
Refresh my memory, please. How do you plant and what are the lighting and temp requirements, etc.?
Oops Audrey, I left your answer as a new comment….it’s right under your comment. ๐
Drop those bulbs into a vase, bowl, or pot with a few inches of vase pebbles (dollar store little bag of stones).
Add just enough water so that the root end just comes in contact with the water, keep that level until the roots start to grow, then less water is fine as the roots take it up.
Watch them grow, and they will grow quickly…several inches in a day sometimes. I love the fragrance, but some are not so crazy about it. Example my son’s quote last year. “Mom do something about those stinky flowers.”
Paperwhites do not require a cold period to bloom. They are ready to go out of the bag.
Thanks, Stacey. That sounds easy enough.
Can I suggest, if you’re worried about stealing, put a copyright notice on your photos like I do. I changed mine to the name of my blog for more advertising when its shared on social media. I hope this helps you. Thanks for visiting my blog ๐
I know I should watermark my images, but just haven’t done so! It was pointed out to me that if they want to take an image, they will do so–copyrighted or not. They just crop out the copyright.
If I find someone has “borrowed” an image without permission, I kindly ask them to remove or send them a bill for the image! ๐ Love your blog!
Thanks, I love your blog too. Your photography is great. I recently bought a new camera, so hopefully I’ll be able to capture some great shots ๐
