“The Sunflower children
Nod to the Sun.
Summer is over,
Fall has begun.”
My first try at starting Pansy seeds in the greenhouse this year.
They are just starting to bloom, and the colors were worth the wait.
A handful of Bachelor Buttons, fresh picked from
I will start the Zinnia seeds today.
They make a garden happy.
Time to start the Nasturtium seeds.
A tradition for me, I plant them every year.
I use to always plant them in containers, or a window box,
then I visited a lovely garden where the gardener had them meandering all along the edges of her Perennials.
One of those moments–“Why didn’t I ever do that?”
Now the Nasturtium meander around the edges of my garden.
I have never had luck growing sweet peas.
This year I tried just one more time.
Potted into a large clay pot, they have been growing, and growing…
And today–the first blossom.
