These two nesting trugs were a gift over 20 years ago.
I owned a floral shop at the time, and a customer walked in one day and presented them to me.
He was a quiet, elderly man.
Gardening was becoming to hard for him.
He wanted them to go to a good home.
I have done just that.
Gathering all the saved seeds and storing them for next Spring.
Canning jars work great for keeping seeds save and dry.
Find a cool spot to place them until planting time.
Label and date so you use the oldest seeds first.
Sometimes I’m lazy about that part!
So nice to be able to still pick fresh Herbs in my garden, well into October.
The warming sunshine called me into the garden today.
Cold and rain has kept me indoors and garden clean up has been on hold.
Today I spent time cleaning flower and vegetable beds.

September days tend to start cool and end much the same.

Sunshine and light breezes make time in the garden priceless.
