I’m so lucky
To still have fresh herbs out in the garden.
Fragrant Thyme, Sage and Oregano.
And must have some Parsley for flavor.
It’s getting to be that time
To get the paperwhites started.

Eggs!
After a molt and apparently a revolt on proper chicken behavior…
the girls are laying a few eggs!
Vines
I gathered a few tender vines from the woods,
and made some napkin rings for my linen napkins.
Gathering my thoughts
A little gathering of linens and ironstone
for our Thanksgiving table.
A splash of orange with paper striped straws,
and ribbon flags to dress up carrot cake cupcakes.
Meet Helen
Helen is wearing lovely feathers in Autumn shades.
She enjoys free ranging in the garden, and hanging out with her friends.

Autumn Chores
I long for the bulbs to arrive,
for the early Autumn chores are melancholy,
but the planting of bulbs is the work of hope and is always thrilling.

The End
This is the last of the Heirloom tomatoes.
They have been safely finishing their ripening in the greenhouse.
I will have a salad for lunch, do the last of the seed saving, and roast a few more tomatoes for Winter enjoyment.
