They’re so cool…the rugosas at the beach have hips the size of small tomatoes, and amazing fragrance….What variety is yours?
This was taken on Cape Cod, while on vacation. Such a beautiful place.

One of these days, I’m going to root a cutting…they smell so wonderful!
I did try to sneak a little cutting home…alas it did not take. 😦 But I have the beautiful photos!
I haven’t seen rosehips that look quite like these. They’re quite pretty! 🙂
in the summer when my children were young we would make ‘rose hip boats’ just cut them in half and put a dab of almond butter on them… It was always part of their ‘fairy’ lunch tea time.
