Lucky girl! I tried this in my garden so many times. It never grows the next year. Zone 3 is too darn cold I guess. My friend Alys at Gardening Nirvana has it all along her deck. I’d love to do that.
I’m Zone 4 and it’s a bit on the cold side too. I think the sheltered spot helps….I am going to try leaving some in large pots this year too. They can winter over in the greenhouse then.

Yes I do, those English Country gardens were always a delight. Lavender is just my best, it has so many uses. 🙂
You’ve inspired me to try growing lavender again. Is this a perennial, because mine did not come back.

I am planning a trip to Austin in May and I am told there are lavender farms an hour outside the city. You know where I will be!
Fingers crossed that mine survived another winter!
I can’t wait for it to bloom again…
I said that for years myself. I just planted my first bush this past fall 🙂
