Here And There

Here And There

The flowers are showing off in some areas of the garden.
This splash of white Clematis I have grown to really anticipate each year.
An unknown variety, it is usually the kick off for blossoms around Rabbit Run Cottage.

The Flags Are Out

The Flags Are Out

Pretty Iris making their appearance this week.
The pot was marked as purple when I purchased these 3 years ago.
Much to my surprise yellow Iris appeared instead.
It’s a good color.

Pretty And Pink

Pretty And Pink

I loved the Cosmos in the garden last year.
The butterflies enjoyed them also.
Of coarse I have lots of seedlings in the greenhouse to enjoy a repeat performance this season.
Perfectly pretty and pink.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter

The garden is just beginning to wake up.
Today I searched for signs of life, fearful of what may not return after our long, harsh Winter.
Much to my delight…I saw the first bees of the season!
Welcome back my pollinating friends.

A Red Door

A Red Door

Rabbit Run Cottage has made a few changes as it grows older.
Haven’t we all?!!!
I still remember Lucy, 6 years old, going in and out of the little door, cut just for her size.
I painted that door 3 times, until I got the red I loved.
