Sweet Pea

I have never had luck growing sweet peas.

This year I tried just one more time.

Potted into a large clay pot, they have been growing, and growing…

And today–the first blossom.

Because they are just so pretty.

The nasturtium seem to be happy with the record heat wave.

Can you see I still need to touch up the greenhouse paint,

and wash the glass?!

The one and only, ranuculus..

no really–the one and only!

Not a good year for this beautiful flower…

I will try again next year.

Juice taken from the leaves of borage and made into a syrup,

with sugar and honey expels melancholy and sadness,
