Cash Crop

Cash Crop

Gardening seems to be paying off!

While weeding and cleaning flower beds, a slightly faded five dollar bill caught my eye!

I did look around for more, but this seems to be the only one–for now!

Hoping I have a few more sprouting up!

Daylily Chores

Daylily

When the lilies are in bloom, I dead head each evening.

It’s a quiet, peaceful garden chore that I rather enjoy.

In the morning I’m greeted with fresh looking plants ready to open more flowers for the day.

Clean Up In Aisle 4

Clean Up In Aisle 4

After the snow melts I let the chickens into the kitchen garden to do a little clean up.

5 hens remain from my original chick purchase nearly 8 years ago.

The girls egg laying days are over, but they provide insect clean up and add to my compost pile.

All very valuable to the garden.

And doesn’t chickens scratching in the yard just make you smile?

Priceless!
