A sweet little wreath I made from Thyme…
Tie bundles of thyme onto a wire form.
Hang in your kitchen and trim sprigs when you need to flavor your dishes.

I love that wreath 🙂
Looks like most of mine survived the Cold!
Mine is looking good peeking through the snow. I planted lots around the kitchen garden last year….added it to all the edges of the raised beds. I can’t get enough of it!
Me either. It’s part of dinner nearly every night! 🙂
My thyme always takes a bashing in winter, everything dries back….. with it having been so wet over winter it may not spring back……thyme will tell 🙂
I left mine growing out of control this Fall, edges are dry but close to the plant base is nice and green! Hardy little herb!
I love this idea! Mine is buried in snow but this Fall I could make a little wreathe for the kitchen – then I won’t have to worry about shoveling for thyme. Thank you.
The beauty of it, you can make them any time of year!
Thyme is such and under used herb. Chefs should promote it!
Agree!! It flavors everything! 🙂
Lemon Thyme is the bomb. If you haven’t tried, you should. Excellent in many things. Will be growing 10x more this next season.
OK, putting it on the list!!! This is the time of year I just start craving the scents and flavors of those Herbs!
This is why I need a greenhouse. My thyme is buried under lots of snow. A wreath of thyme must smell heavenly.
It’s growing inside the greenhouse along the edges under the benches….heavenly!
I love your thyme wreath! I made rosemary wreaths for the holidays (because that is what I have growing in my potting studio under lights – we have so much snow 😦 ) but I long to make one of these! Thyme is pretty and so useful in the kitchen.
And your new blog redesign looks lovely!
Kelly,
Thank you! Still working on the blog design thing…always thinking of how I can tweak it!
I’m ordering Rosemary plugs this Spring to start in the greenhouse…hoping to have some larger plants this year.
Then maybe I can to some wreaths too!

This is a great idea. I made a peanut wreath at the end of last year http://spadeforkspoon.wordpress.com/2013/12/09/a-festive-bird-feeding-wreath/ I love this wreath though.
Great wreath…so cold here I should make some extra treats for my bird friends!
🙂

Thanks. Will try and make one with thyme myself.
LOVE this idea! What did you use as the base?
I used some old wire from the scrap metal pile. You could use a wire hanger, pulled into a circle.
Craft stores even sell an actual wreath wire frame in different sizes, but I am always going the budget method.
If you have an old grapevine wreath, you could use that too.
Let me know if you make one this year!!
