How pretty the Hollyhocks looked tucked up along the side of the greenhouse last Summer.
The large clay pot is temporary to hold water, until I find a vintage treasure suitable to use as a rain barrel.
Not only are the plants always changing, the structures of the garden are always evolving also.
Those hollyhocks look great! Do you much trouble with insect damage on the leaves?
Yes, these dry Summers have been hard on the Hollyhocks….I have lost many! But I keep starting new seeds! 🙂
I love hollyhocks!
🙂 They are lovely and tall for the garden!
Hollyhocks just scream country garden to me, especially the single bloom variety. I’ve planted a number of times, but had very little luck. My friend Karen use to have really beautiful ones against her brick garage. Super sunny and sheltered spot.
