The garden is full of tomatoes, peppers, root vegetables and herbs.

This Time Of The Year

The garden starts producing and getting a bit messy around the edges.

With the heat and mosquitoes I have been practicing ‘speed gardening’!

Quick water, quick harvest, quick dead head, quick weeding…oh heck,

I’ll get those weeds next time.

This Spot Of Ground

A garden is a grand teacher. It teaches patience and careful watchfulness; it teaches industry and thrift; above all it teaches entire trust.
The love of gardening is a seed once sown that never dies.
There is no spot of ground, however arid, bare or ugly, that cannot be tamed into such a state as may give an impression of beauty and delight.
The lesson I have thoroughly learnt, and wish to pass on to others, is to know the enduring happiness that the love of a garden gives.

The Scent Of Summer

Pull up a chair among the Thyme and Lavender.

I once dreamed of having a little greenhouse that I grew little pots of Herbs.

It’s good to dream.

Now, snap out of it…I have to weed and water!
