When The Pickles Are Gone

Growing Herbs

Today I had the pleasure of speaking at our local library.

I love herbs and hopefully inspired some gardeners to start a culinary herb garden.

Little starter pots of herbs can be kept from drying out under a little overturned canning jar.

Ready, Set, Grow!

Ready, Set, Grow

Busy in the garden!

Raking out garden beds and getting the raised beds ready for seeds and plants!

Hours outdoors are leaving me tired and happy each night.

I’ve lost one pair of garden gloves all ready!

Daylily Chores

Daylily

When the lilies are in bloom, I dead head each evening.

It’s a quiet, peaceful garden chore that I rather enjoy.

In the morning I’m greeted with fresh looking plants ready to open more flowers for the day.

Easter Is On It’s Way

Spring

Spring took a few days off with the return of snow and cold in the garden.

Luckily I’m busy in the greenhouse moving seedlings to pots and sowing more seeds.

With Easter right around the corner, I thought I’d share an image from last years sweet baby ducklings.

MaMa Duck hatching these 11 babies just might be my favorite memory of life out here.

Peaceful moments watching this little family swim in the garden pond.
