The State Of Things

The State Of Things

With busy days in the garden, I have been forgetting to pick up my camera!
Some chores have been checked off the list, with many more still to go.
Scraping the greenhouse paint and then giving it a fresh coat of color is still a big one to get done.
To bad Rosie can’t help!

1 year ago, I went to pick out a new puppy for our family.
Rosie was the first I picked up from the piles of puppies at my feet. I held a few others, but I kept going back to the littlest one, that sat patiently near me.
I promised to give her a good home, and snuggled her into a blanket on the seat next to me.
She fell asleep for the drive home and I have loved this girl from that moment on.
She is quiet, playful, serious and a bit of a scaredy cat.
Rosie is ready for some warm Spring weather too!

Sun Bath

Sun Bath

Rosie has a ritual.
A good night sleep with her best buddy, Otto.
A morning run around the yard.
A pit stop in the house for tricks and treats.
A snuggle on the couch.
Back outside for a sun bath.
Love you yellow girl

Let’s hit the ground running!

Let's hit the ground running!

Or maybe just snooze for a bit longer!
2 favorite things–Rosie and vintage grain sacks.
Especially when they have been mended so carefully by a farmers wife so long ago.

Let’s check the garden Rosie!

Rosie trots along with me on nearly every visit to the garden.

She stops and looks at the raised beds and sticks her nose in Herbs, just like me!

I love her to bits!

Hey, Rosie--smile!
Hey, Rosie–smile!
Rosie, look to the left.
Rosie, look to the left.

Rosie, look to the right.
Rosie, look to the right.
Rosie, smell the Thyme.
Rosie, smell the Thyme.

Rosie, smile!

The many faces of Rosie!
