With the deep freeze of Winter howling outside, I prefer to rest my eyes on pretty garden images.

Can you remember the colour you used to paint the frame work of your greenhouse? It seems to perfectly blend with the outside but contrast enough to make an lovely impression. I noticed your basket of gourds too ๐ Do you have a plan for them. Alys turned two she grew into bird houses. I felt the inside of the dried gourds the a hole she’d drilled for an opening and was so surprised how soft and downy it was in there. So comfy for any winged tenants that may stay in the garden of summer. I was out a couple of days ago, it was so mild that the birds were chirping like mad. I video’d them because it was so sweet to hear in December, I miss that all winter.
The paint color is call “Pumpkin Stem” from Dutch Boy. Believe it or not, I took nearly a month to pick that color! But, I love how it just blends in the garden.
Yes, my gourds will become bird houses this Spring. I love to hang them in the Pines that run along the side of the garden. The little House Wrens love them for nesting. I love those little chattery birds. I fear this cold is tough on our little winged friends!!
I can totally believe it took you a month to pick out paint. I did the same thing when we reno’d our kitchen at our previous home ๐ it’s daunting when there’s 100’s of choices. I’ll look forward to the gourd post AND spring ๐ xK
So do I. An excellent choice!
๐ Thank you! The cold is getting to me….so I’m digging out the garden images!
