The liatris shows more color each day.
They are framing the front porch of Rabbit Run Cottage quite beautifully this year.
Still missing is the little flag from the front porch post…I’m working on a little replacement.

Lost and Found
While cleaning up flower beds this Spring, it was clear my beautiful Butterfly Bush’s had not survived the Winter.
Last Fall I had planted just a few Liatris that I had started in the greenhouse. They have filled in the empty gaps and are going to be stunning in a few days….I love the purple against the grey-green colors of Rabbit Run Cottage.
Notice anything else? That hole in the porch post is missing it’s Flag. Lost in the storm.

Viburnum
I love the snowball flowers hanging from the Viburnum.
They have a hint of light fragrance and look pretty in a vase too.
Achillea Yarrow–Paprika
I love this pop of red!
I find the Achillea Yarrow hardy and tolerant of the the Summer heat.
This makes such a pretty cut flower too!
Spiderwort
I love having Spiderwort in my gardens.
I find it beautiful and tolerant of weather conditions.
An American wildflower that is edible?!

Perhaps I need to rename for the menu!
Orange is my favorite color
A bright, sunny morning in the garden.
The orange Butterfly Bush is just starting to bloom,
it’s such a great pop of color in the garden.
