Stonecrop

Stonecrop is the common name for the large plant family of Sedum

“known for their foliage, flowers, hardiness and variety”

Perfect!

I have been adding new plants each year, and now have lot’s of Mother plants to take cuttings from.

I fill flats with a sand and soil-less potting mix.

Tuck in all the little cuttings, and wait patiently in the greenhouse.

When they resist a little tug–they are ready for either a larger pot–or right to the garden.

Rabbit Run Cottage–the story

5 years ago we “dropped” our little garden shed

into a weed patch of our new property.

I had little time to ponder the placement of the beloved shed–I was just grateful it had made the journey.

I knew it was the beginning of my garden.

A garden I had dreamed of nearly my entire adult life.

So let’s take a little peak back in time–and see how Rabbit Run Cottage was created.

Rabbit Run Cottage has grown up along with Lucy. Her colors are more muted for the garden, and the play kitchen was retired. A pile of pillows, quilts and books are in the loft. She is very gracious in sharing her little house with me.

Thought I’d repost this from last year….

It’s a good time to start planning those Spring projects!

Hope this gives you a little inspiration.
