life in and around the garden

I cut back this year, really I did!

The Daffodil bulbs are slowly waking up…Spring is right around the corner.

An Early Spring wreath made from garden gatherings.
Grass hay, fallen bird nest, unplanted bulbs, feathers, moss,
and some vine tendrils.

I use a vintage filing cabinet to store and organize my
seeds.

I remember thinking those words….many years ago.
And now I do.
I wanted a new garden apron for working in the greenhouse.

I needed a couple of extra pockets and a place to keep a pencil for marking plant tags.
So I found a scrap of brown linen and sewed a rectangle of fabric onto the the front of the apron.
Nothing fancy here folks, no measuring–just eyeball it!
Now, I have plenty of pockets!

Those sweet seed packets were designed by my daughter Laura!
