A different angle

A different angle

This side of the garden doesn’t get photographed much.
Even this image is from three seasons ago.
The south side of the fence is planted in perennials for a cottage garden effect.
The future plans are to continue expanding the plantings to embrace more of the yard.
Our home will began a renovation project this Spring. In the future we will be opening up walls and creating two openings to the back of the house.
We all ready decided we need to add a gate to this side of the fence!

No need…

No need...

to wipe your feet.
I have several pairs of garden boots.
Basic black, bright colors, high boots, short boots.
Come Summer time, I’m usually happy with my well worn Converse.

A new year

A new year

Another year has rolled through in the garden.
How quickly the seasons slid from one to the next.
2013 was a year of extremes.
Snow and cold that did not want to end.
A Summer that came on hot and hotter.
Fall dropped in with cold, miserable weather.
And Winter, well it’s colder!
Happy New Year garden friends!

When the garden really takes off, spilling over the edges of the raised beds.

Vegetables are getting ready to pick and enjoy!  Well worth the work and the wait.
